Family Planning

All doctors give family planning and contraception advice.

Dr Bray is available for fitting and removing implants.

We are able to remove coils, and we can refer you to Leatside Surgery for fitting of coils. Please ask reception for more details.

Minor Surgery

Dr Kumar holds regular minor surgery clinics, subject to demand.

Please speak to a GP if you wish to discuss having minor surgery.

Vaccinations

We offer routine vaccinations including:

  • flu (seasonally)
  • covid (seasonally)
  • childhood vaccinations
  • shingles
  • pneumonia
  • HPV and MenACWY catch-ups
  • Hep B for occupational health (charges apply)
  • pertussis in pregnancy
  • travel vaccines (where covered by the NHS)

Smoking Cessation

Our HCA Sonia is available for individual smoking cessation support. She is able to give advice and support if you are considering quitting.

Pharmacist

We have pharmacists who are available for telephone or face-to-face consultations.

They can help with:

  • answering questions about your medication
  • prescribing new medications
  • adjusting doses
  • stopping medications
  • conducting medication reviews to ensure your medicines are the right ones for you

Chlamydia Screening

We offer free, confidential chlamydia tests, without the need to see a GP. The test is simple and requires no examination - just a swab or urine test.

If you are under 25 and sexually active, it is recommended that you have a test every year - or if you have a new sexual partner.

If you want to get a test, please speak to reception.

NHS Health Checks

The NHS Health Check is a free check-up of your overall health. It is for people aged 40 to 74 who don't have certain pre-existing conditions.

The check can tell you whether you're at higher risk of developing:

  • heart disease
  • diabetes
  • kidney disease
  • stroke
