Normal Surgery opening times will then operate after these dates


If you need to contact a Doctor when the surgery is closed you need to call the out of hours service on: 111. The 111 service will help you to find the right care to meet your requirements, including the Devon Doctors service. This service can also advise on pharmacy opening times, emergency dental services and emergency family planning service.


Emergency Ambulance Service - If your condition is life threatening you will need to call an ambulance on 999, but remember that the service will be very busy. If you are in any doubt, call 111 who will advise you and call an ambulance for you if it is needed.


Derriford Hospital Accident & Emergency will operate as normal throughout the period. Please make sure you only use this service when it really is an emergency.

Normal Surgery Opening Times

Monday - Friday:08:00 to 18:00

If you need to contact a Doctor when the surgery is closed you can either contact the NHS out of hours service direct on  111  or ring the normal surgery telephone number: 01364 72394 when the answerphone will give the contact numbers.


Extended Hours


If appointments have been prebooked for Saturday mornings, the practice will be open. These specific appointments are bookable in advance and are intended for those patients who usually cannot attend a doctors appointment during normal surgery hours.  The telephone lines will not be open during this time. If you require urgent advice the out of hours contact of 111 is available.

Tel No. 111 is the NHS 24 hour service staffed by a team of fully trained advisers.  They can also advise you on: Out of hours pharmacy opening times, emergency dental pain services, emergency family planning services.
